ND Brewing Supplies (formerly known as 'Northern Districts Brewing Supplies') opened its doors in the northern Sydney suburb of North Ryde in February 2003.

In May 2004, Northern Districts Brewing Supplies changed the way it does business. With shop fronts slowly becoming obsolete and the Internet being used more often as the way we do our shopping, we decided to go online and close our shop front. We still aim to provide the same quality service and products you have been receiving plus more!

Owner Gerard Meares took over as the head brewer for Paddy’s Brewery at Sydney’s Markets Hotel in February 2004 and was also involved in the installation of the brewery at the Macquarie Hotel. His beers have received numerous awards including a Gold Medal & Best in Class Trophy for The Schwartz beer (Dark Lager) at the 2005 Australasian International Beer Awards.

Gerard has recently completed a Graduate Diploma in Brewing and Malting through Ballarat University, & is working at The Malt Shovel Brewery. With a background in home brewing going back 10 years, and daily exposure in the brewing industry, you are guaranteed to receive top advice for any brewing question you may have.
